"Attended the Santa Clara Convention Center in my capacity as a medical assistant for a Sutter Health gathering titled The Power of One. A fitting name, perhaps, for a day where many gathered under one roof to reflect, to learn, and to occasionally glance at the coffee table for strength.
The convention center did not boast; it functioned. Ventilation was steady—neither too cold nor a breath too warm. The air moved as it should, and so did we. Restrooms were plentiful, a quiet luxury one does not appreciate until urgently reminded. No long waits, no odd smells—truly, a silent triumph of logistics.
The layout was orderly. Nothing grandiose, but not austere. It did not try to impress, and in that restraint, it succeeded. One could find water without a quest and seating without a squabble. Even the walls, though unremarkable, stood firm and indifferent, like stoic guardians of the day’s discussions.
All in all, the convention center was what it needed to be: a reliable host, content to stay in the background while others took the stage. A structure of purpose, not pretense. And in today’s world, that is no small thing."
