"Great beach to collect shells and walk. Sometime we will surf fish off the beach- bonnet head and cat fish mostly. But noseums are no joke! Bring bug spray or cover. ESPECIALLY in the evenings."

"This is a nice beach for the family. Parked across the road and a short walk away. Bathrooms were nice enough but only 2 stalls in womens restroom. Tons of shells. Lots of pelicans and other birds. Even saw a dolphin. Something was biting us in the water, like maybe sand fleas. Also, away from the water we were getting bit by tiny gnats. Possibly due to all the still water between the beach and parking lot. No doubt remnants of the last hurricane. But otherwise, such a nice family friendly spot. Stop, but bring bug spray!"

"Bring you chair and umbrella if you don't want to be directly under the sun. There is no rental option for these items. Other than that, public parking is nearby and convenient, the beach is pretty and wasn't busy at the time I visited (Labor Day weekend) so it was very pleasant and relaxing."
