What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors describe the Ho Chi Minh Trail as a challenging but rewarding hike leading to the beautiful Black's Beach. While the descent can be tricky with narrow passages and steep sections, many find the unique terrain and stunning ocean views well worth the effort. The climb back up is noted as being more strenuous.
"A challenging hike down-and-through massive rock formations leading to the beach. Prior to going to the beach you can take a path towards the right to go to the lookout. There's some ropes along the way to assist you. The lookout was so incredible from the top of the trail and getting down to the beach was also phenomenal."

"Great trail. Little harder for some people. There are easier and harder routes you can take though. Will definitely be back. Good workout and great views."

"It was a bit tricky and treacherous on the way down but I had good guidance from my family. I stopped to let barefoot surfers carrying their boards (!) go past me so I think it's a bit easier for younger hikers. (I'm 60+) There were some wet slippery areas from all the recent rain. It must take a long time to dry completely. It's otherworldly down in the slots and the beach is gorgeous. Hard to believe you're in between two back yards! The trip up is not as difficult but it's more tiring. Hike it but take your time. It's worth it!"
