Reviews Summary

Reviews for the Coronado Farmers Market are mixed, with many praising the fresh produce and artisan goods, while others express concerns about pricing and food quality. Some visitors report finding excellent deals on fruits and vegetables, while others find certain items overpriced or have encountered issues with expired products or meat quality. The market's vibrant atmosphere and unique finds are frequently highlighted as positives.

"I don't make big purchases here for groceries, a lot of it is overpriced. They are notorious for selling expired food and bad cuts of meat. I went to grab a cheesecake tray and there was a dot of green mold on it, lifted it and underneath was another package full of mold. I don't trust the hot food they have ready to order, I always see flies on them and it is left unattended for long periods of time. Stuff is hit or miss most of the time. Some stuff is okay but not the best, like their sushi, fresh fruit water jugs, and flour tortillas."

Berenice Boites

"Outstanding supermarket with lots of Mexican goodies among other common supermarket items, including freshly made tortillas(still warm to the hand), various dishes and snacks, and great selection of fresh produce with good price(red cherry $0.99 a pound, mango two for $1, water Mellon three pounds for $1, etc.)."

Yifan Tang

"I avoided buying meat from this place for years since the owner of Wally's moved his operation here. Wally's was renowned for selling rotten meat, they got me several times. But since it's been several years and with all the good reviews and things going on here I figured I would give it a shot again. Well nothing has changed, I bought a t-bone steak yesterday from the butcher and here we are about 25 hours since purchase and it's RANCID. Had to bag it as fast as possible and get it in the trash."
