What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Tower of the Americas for its breathtaking panoramic views and the unique dining experience at the revolving Chart House restaurant. The 4D theater and well-maintained grounds also receive positive mentions, making it a well-rounded attraction. Some find the dining to be pricey and the 4D theater's seat features a bit intense.
"Lots to see and do when you visit here…. The view was incredible and the different attractions inside (3D theatre, The Chart House revolving restaurant, Observation deck…) were amazing! Outside was the beautiful various waterfalls and “the wings” were a great photo op…. When in San Antonio you need to visit!"

"My family and I really enjoyed being here and looking at the city of San Antonio from high above. We bought tickets online and checked into the ticket booth on our visit. We went up on the elevator to the top. The elevator has windows that allows you to look out as it climbs.
The observation deck has an indoor and outdoor section. It has great views of the city, but the Alamo is hard to see. There's a great view of the Alamodome. The outside section can get really windy, so hold on to your hats. The inside section has a lot of information about the history of San Antonio. They also have a small snack and gift shop at the top.
Back on the ground floor, they have some arcades, a larger gift shop, and a cool 4D Theater. The only thing I didn't like about the 4D seats was the thing that pokes you in the back. Several other theatergoers weren't too crazy about that either. But, the overall experience was fun and a great value."

"We were staying close by so we decided to try chart house at the top of the tower America's just a short walk from our hotel. We went for lunch. I must say it did not disappoint. Everything was great from the service to the food and especially the view. The restaurant does a slow turn while you dine. Sometimes it may only turn Fridays through Sunday. No matter what the view is fantastic. It was so good we went back the next day. They have some great lunch specials for 22.00 and the dessert was to die for so delicious. Reservation recommended."
