"The first issue is academic advisors! How do you tell a new student that if they repeat a class it’s free from tuition to take class over? That’s a lie! An advisor is suppose give you the correct information and help guide you along the way! Second, if a student is failing why is no one of advisory status telling the student the truth. Hey, this may not be the major for you and let’s look into your other interests. Instead you encourage them to be in debt by repeating classes as if school is free. And telling them this professor is hard. What kind of advice is that? Would you like you someone to encourage your child in that way? A different kind of conversation should be had. Just to be clear it is definitely the students responsibility to uphold their academic standards.
Housing, terrible! The amount of money an out of state family pays for tuition the dorms in particularly Martins Hall should be decent and clean. The shower had hair in it and the bathroom was completely dirty. I guess students stayed over the summer in this dorm. On freshman move in day I had to file a complaint on how nasty the dorm was. Remind you this is the first impression. The whole in the bathroom door of 307 was still there from a previous video someone did of dorm room in 2019, on YouTube, SERIOUSLY! I complained about that! They basically scold you in the parent ‘s orientation about what not to complain about and that’s how you hand over a dorm! And yes it’s a choice to have your kid attend the school! Please do better! I guess now Martin Hall is receiving a long overdue makeover.
I know no college, university or whatever you chose to call it isn’t perfect but effort for change is way more feasible and understanding. And please listen to your students comments negative or positive. It’s no way different students who attend different years at the college complain about the same professor and no adjustments are made. Just because you have a PHD In biology should not give you the right to teach first time students as if they are in med-school. Its setting them up to fail. Be all means I’m not saying make it easy. Make it understandable and relatable to at least give them a shot. If a whole class fail a test, it’s it the students or the professor? I’ll wait!"

"I love the small campus life, because everywhere is like a walking distance, when you live on campus their is stores nearby like CVS and Dollar General to by needs and you get to walk their, no need to get behind the wheel, and also I was glad their is a church nearby to I get go on Sundays."

As I was excited to actively pursue my degree at Salisbury, I was not encouraged nor guided enough to make it to the start of classes. I believe this had to do with discrimination of neurodivergence and race, as well as ageism. I unfortunately had to withdrawal due to lack of support and feeling devalued as a student."
