The well-maintained trails, scenic river views, and family-friendly amenities like the playground and carousel are major highlights. Some minor concerns were raised about restroom availability during weekdays and specific carousel hours.
"We really enjoyed our visit to the park yesterday. It is beautiful and clean and kept up nicely. It feels very safe walking through as well. There is a large, modern foyt bridge crossing over the river that gives plenty of room for walkers and bicycle riders as well as the many dogs walking through the park. There is a large, cement path that goes throughout the park and beyond that is nicely leveled making it disability friendly too.
We were drawn to the park because of the carosel that is also housed in the park. Make note, however, that the first Monday of each month is set aside for speciall needs individuals and has no sound, lights or rings going for the first hour. We were unaware of this and felt disappointed to find this out but didn't have time to hang out another hour to wait. After searching on the website afterwords I was finally able to find this information but I really needed to search for it. Riding the beautiful carosel just wasn't the same fir me but I do appreciate that they offer that time for those who need it."

"This is a beautiful, clean park with miles of walking and biking trails. This gorgeous family-friendly park has a river with an actual river boat plus kayaking potential, too. It has a playground with swings and tables for picnics and gatherings. Manicured perfect grass everywhere. Picnic perfect! Down by the river is a huge globe of the world that is accurate in geography and done with tiles that they are currently trying to restore and bring back to life. Cool place to bird watch and is dog friendly too. There is an indoor carousel, with old-time wooden animals in all their splendor. Plus, sweet treats and a gift shop for all ages. Riverfront City Park has a playground with swings and tables for picnics and parties. Down by the river is a huge globe of the world that is accurate in geography and completely done with tiles that they are currently trying to restore.
