What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise the plantation's beautiful grounds, historic architecture, and engaging tour guides, particularly Rainy. While many report experiencing or believing in paranormal activity, some visitors express disappointment if they don't encounter ghosts. The accommodations are generally clean and cozy, though some find the included breakfast minimal.
"Sadly no ghosts, but a fun ghost tour! Rainy was a great guide! Entertaining, informative & genuinely happy doing her job. Audrey was training, she gave us a little insight, as well. We stayed in the Caretaker’s cabin. Beds were clean & comfortable. Only suggestion I would have is they give the floors a thorough cleaning. They are rustic & although I have no doubt they clean them, stuff drops between the cracks. It just doesn’t feel as clean, as they may be. FYI- your free breakfast is 1 mini muffin, 1 mini croissant $ free juice, milk or coffee."

"Been here a couple of times. It’s beautiful and worth visiting. For anyone saying it’s not haunted I can assure you it is. I have two different pictures 100% unaltered. One of a Native American near the gazebo and a lady walking in the pond. I never believed in it until this happened. The lady’s was always nice and it was worth the money to me. Now for the people that complain about it being only 6 rooms it’s not a mansion so I’m not sure what you expected. Also I see a lot of people complain about kids not being allowed in on the tour, why would you think it’s a good idea to bring a child that could break something that literally can’t be replaced? As far as the stories I enjoyed hearing them. Obviously there’s no one alive today that actually knows what really happened so for those that want to complain about accuracy please remember it’s history it could be wrong or right but as i stated there’s no one alive to verify it so while you’re free to have your opinion stop ranting as if you was living at that period in time and witnessed it first hand."

"Stayed in the grounds keepers cabin. It was clean and cozy! The staff are very kind and very cheerful! They all seem very excited that you're there! Grounds are GORGEOUS. Very clean and colorful with chickens ducks, and two very friendly cats domino and pepper (pepper tried to run into our cabin a few times). Did a night tour with Rainy, She was FANTASTIC!! Super friendly knew a lot of information and was eager to keep everyone involved, including the little ones that were with our group. Highly recommend a visit even if you can't stay the night."
