What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Golden 1 Center is widely praised for its modern design, excellent sound and video quality, and comfortable seating, even in upper sections. Its downtown location and variety of food options are also highlights. However, some visitors find concert sound to be excessively loud, and drink prices are noted as being high.
"I recently visited Golden 1 Center in Sacramento for an event, and I had a great experience! The place is modern, clean, and well-designed. As soon as you walk in, everything feels organized and welcoming.
One thing that really stood out to me was the sound and video quality—it was amazing. The audio was super clear, even in the upper sections, and you could feel the event without it being too loud or uncomfortable. The video screens were huge and super sharp, so no matter where you’re sitting, you can still see everything on stage clearly. That made the whole experience much better, especially during the live show.
The seats were comfortable, and the arena felt spacious but still had a cozy vibe. Staff were helpful and polite, and there were lots of food options—everything from snacks to full meals, with some local choices too, which was nice.
It’s also in a great location, right in downtown Sacramento, so you can walk to restaurants and parking is nearby. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Golden 1 Center for concerts, basketball games, or any big events. The technology, the atmosphere, and the energy of the crowd all make it a memorable place to visit!"

"Great venue to see a concert, drinks can get pricey and their Bag policy is very strict although they now have a bag Check booth outside the venue.
Lots of Eateries and Bars to fuel up on before your event."

"I've seen a few shows and events here, it's easy to get in and out of. I have noticed that the sound for concerts is extremely loud in here, at first I thought it was just because of the Jonas Brothers fans but no, I just saw the Lumineers there and it was just as loud. I do recommend springing for better seats cause the way high nosebleeds are a little scary, I almost get dizzy climbing to my seat up there 😂 i mean if you are afraid of heights just a heads up."

Ultimately, while the 'nosebleeds' offer a more budget-friendly option, the overall comfort and the venue's technological features mean that a good experience is achievable from many vantage points. It's worth checking seat views online before purchasing tickets to ensure your chosen spot aligns with your comfort and viewing preferences.
Culinary Delights and Concessions
