"I booked a room on nov 7 2025 early in the morning, way before the 3pm check in.. the hotel did not have the courtesy to call me and inform me the pool was broken and ask if I wanted to continue with the reservation. Instead they waited till I got into town and checked in to say oh by the way our pool isn't working. THE ONLY REASON WHY I BOOKED THIS HOTEL WAS BECAUSE IT ADVERTISED A WORKING INDOOR POOL. later that night my daughter was going to take a shower and we stumbled upon a bathtub with a pool of water, conditioner spilled all over the tub and no shower curtain. I literally had to go buy cleaning products and ask for a shower curtain. The restroom door also had rust. Torn carpet and furniture. That day I asked for a partial refund and was told the manager was not in.. I then filed a complaint with customer service and was told I would be contacted by the hotel and the issue would be rectified.. I still haven't got a call from the establishment.. if this does not get resolved I will file a complaint with the BBB."

"As I was checking into my room yesterday, Oct 22, I noticed a few employees degrading another employee in public. This was very unprofessional and certainly not something I want to see when I check into a hotel. The employee that was degraded was very upset, and rightfully so, and I felt terrible for her. Please have your employees take a course in hospitality and professionalism in the workplace. I would have placed more stars, as I have enjoyed my stay, but this situation was totally uncalled for.

"Great Evening Service, But Breakfast Came with a Side of Attitude
We stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The evening manager who checked us in was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service — definitely a strong start to our stay.
However, the next morning told a different story. When we went down for breakfast around 8:00 a.m., we noticed they were out of yogurt. We asked the breakfast attendant if more could be brought out, and instead of a simple response, she returned with a box, slammed it down, and refilled the refrigerator quite aggressively. When we asked about biscuits and gravy, she responded with an extreme attitude that made us feel more like a bother than a guest.
The contrast between the warm check-in and the cold breakfast service was disappointing. A little kindness in the morning goes a long way — we hope management takes note and improves the breakfast experience to match the hospitality we received when we checked in."
