Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking vistas and the exceptionally clear, clean waters of Lake Ouachita, making it a top destination for hiking and water activities. While the trail's beauty is undeniable, some find the trailhead navigation confusing and fishing challenging due to moss. Overall, it's a highly recommended natural escape.
"I backpacked the LOViT Trail traveling Eastbound. It's really well laid out except for the very beginning near Shangri-La. It seems that there was a lot of construction going on and the trail was confusing here. Other than that, the trail was perfect. It took 2 days to finish the thru hike."

"It's great if you just want to watch the water go by but don't try to fish here! The moss is so thick that is all you'll catch. The pictures I am adding will show the money wasted to build this dock and bring in all those rocks just to 1. Not finish the job by cleaning out the invasive vegetation and 2. Not maintaining it and now it is almost worse than when they started!!"

"We parked along the road, no one else was parked here, but didn't want to park down the way in the lot.
It was early March about 45 degrees F (chilly), but was a nice day. Early spring, so not to much in the way of new growth, still a nice hike."
