After a tired day at work, this is the place to be for a relaxing evening stroll. Peaceful trails with great views and you'd be seeing all kinds of wildlife - birds, fish, deer and if you get lucky, others too.
The entrance at Willeo Park is wheelchair accessible and the whole boardwalk (~5 miles to & fro) is paved with plenty of rest areas and picnic tables. Pet-friendly and elders friendly. Parking can be a pain but you'd be able to figure it out.
So, just grab a book, some snacks, plenty of water, sunscreen and visit it just before sunset."

The walkway curves over marsh grasses with boats drifting by, and I swear I half expected to see a crab scuttle out from underfoot when the tide changed. The fishing folks here looked like they’d done this forever and offered me tips on a stray cast I made, which felt genuine—not touristy. It is a quiet sort of beauty, where you lean on a railing and let the salt air reset you. I did wish the benches were softer though, because after walking for more than an hour my muscles needed a better cradle.
When the sun started to hang low on the horizon the colors turned peach in the sky and copper in the water. I ducked into a small café afterward where shrimp and hushpuppies hit the spot nearly as much as the view did. It wasn’t crowded even though I’m sure it gets busy later. Stepping off the boardwalk and onto a shady trail made me promise myself I’d come back early someday."
