Over 3000 Sandhill Cranes currently at Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge! More than 20,000 will pass through this fall during their annual migration. Turn the sound on to hear their terdactyl call! • These birds are around 5 feet tall, and have fascinated me for years. When I was a kid in Florida, they would visit pur house and come right up to us. They're beautiful! And did you know they mate ...

"Very scenic place to come and enjoy some peace and quiet and to slow down and look around at what's around you. There's a 6 mile loop that you can drive thru and along the way there's multiple place to stop with some trails and lookouts. There's also trails near the entrance, like the butterfly trail, which I thought were great. I also saw lots of different kinds of birds throughout the reserve.
