"Saw tower power here the other night this venue is so amazing such a combination of a beautifully put together architectural masterpiece as well as a beautiful outside lawn to watch a concert under the stars as well as tables and food and drink availability. It’s about 40 minutes north of Marin and Well worth the drive. Very well run facility they know how to move a crowd very quickly, and a lot of the people who work their students of Sonoma state very nice folks"

"Absolutely beautiful. Flew up for a concert in the Joan and Sanford I. Weill Hall and was in awe of the space. We were also very lucky to be seated in their "Loft" setup."

"The theater is very nice, quite an unusual and interesting layout with the indoor/outdoor arrangement. Only thing I'd say that caught me off guard was if you have a seat in the indoor part no food or beverages, not even water is permitted. Weird Al and his band was great!"

The Unique Indoor-Outdoor Design
This design offers flexibility for various types of events. For intimate performances, the 240-seat Schroeder Hall provides a more focused acoustic experience. For larger concerts, the combination of Weill Hall and the lawn seating can accommodate a significant audience. However, this indoor-outdoor arrangement also comes with specific considerations for attendees, such as the strict no-food-or-drink policy inside Weill Hall, which is not enforced on the lawn.
Navigating Lawn Seating and Views
As noted by some visitors, the trees situated between the green and the fireworks can obscure views during pyrotechnic displays. Additionally, if you don't bring a high-backed chair, you might find yourself sitting behind others who do, leading to obstructed sightlines. For those prioritizing an unobstructed view of the stage and any video screens, booking indoor seats or arriving early to secure a prime spot on the lawn is highly recommended. The venue is praised for its efficiency in moving crowds, but strategic planning for seating can significantly enhance the overall experience.
A Hub for Diverse Musical Performances
Beyond full concerts, the Green Music Center is a valuable space for musical education and development. It hosts masterclasses with renowned musicians, providing opportunities for students and the community to learn from world-class artists, often for free. This commitment to both performance and education solidifies its role as a significant cultural institution in Sonoma County, attracting both local residents and visitors from further afield.
