Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Thacher Island Twin Lights visually impressive and historically significant, especially appreciating the unique twin structure. However, the 'tedious' drive to reach viewing points and the seasonal limitations of boat access can be drawbacks. Some have also encountered parking issues and fines in Rockport.
"This is cool, 8 never seen twin lighthouses before so it's worth the VERY TEDIOUS DRIVE (through residential neighborhoods) to get to them. But, you can only see them from the shoreline, I guess unless you kayak to them or have a boat. We visited in late September and there were no boats or ferries available to go to these lights, or the other one across the harbor. Still, beautiful to take in from the shore, and if you stand in the right place, you can see all three light houses, so like I said, worth it!"

"Though obviously the grounds and lighthouse are closed, they are impressive from Loblolly Park. Perfect direction for dawn pics. Though 4000' away, you don't need super telephoto lenses to get a they're 125' tall and fill frames with as little as 200mm. Great lights."

"Not an option for 0 star ⭐.
We had a rental car to tour lighthouses. We were only there maybe 10 minutes max. Enough to get a picture of lighthouses. Received a ticket, residential sticker violation. No signs were posted about the parking lot or area was for residents only. $50 violation- Not worth it. Disappointing for a tourist town.....Rockport MA."
