Rockport Harbor is widely praised for its picturesque scenery, charming shops on Bearskin Neck, and iconic landmarks like Motif No. 1. However, parking can be a significant challenge, especially during peak times, and some find it less ideal for very young children.
"Bearskin Neck Shops is my new favorite place!! It’s the best one I’ve been too in years that isn’t on the Cape. They have everything, toys, candles, fudge, lobster, fried dough, jewelry, clothes, kids stuff, bars, juice bars, bakeries, ice cream, Italian ice, cafes, galleries, candles, boutiques and so much more!!
We walked out on Bearskin Neck about 1/2 way during low tide/ sunset and it was stunning! The lighthouse was beautiful! The next morning we got out early enough just after sunrise to see the Sail Boat instructors tugging their little bitty students along!! It was the most unexpected and cutest thing to witness!
The bakeries and cafes are amazing! Almost every store we went in was a pleasant experience. Not sure I’d bring Littles here, but teenagers may enjoy it as well! Of corse they’ll want to stop everywhere and buy everything, but So Did I 🤷♀️"

"Rockport is a magical place to visit. Either during peak summer or over the more quiet winter months. Whether its to stroll around bearskin neck to shop or have ice cream, have some fresh seafood, lounge at a local beach, or rent a kayak for the day to visit the Twin Lights, there is so much for everyone. Whether with friends, family, or solo. Less than 90 minutes by train or car from Boston, this quintessential ocean side town, offers a grand & welcomed escape from the hustle of downtown."
