"Cool park and historic site along the Rock River. I only had a short time to visit so I hiked the trail nearest the river which featured cool rock formations and some nice views of the river. Unfortunately, I visited on a Monday and the museum is closed on Mondays, but I did explore outside the museum, which included a nice statue of Chief Black Hawk."

"This is a delightful place to do a little hiking and find out a little history of the area. There is a small museum in the visitor center with a $2 suggested donation. The grounds around the center are nicely landscaped."

"Lots of well maintained walk paths with picnic tables dotted along these paths. Good playground for children. They also have a great venue location with great friendly staff for weddings or any other occasion. Plenty of parking in multiple different places. You could easily spend the day on a walking adventure here. Me and my wife visit often. It has become one of our "romantic" get away places."
