What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist to be a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary, especially appreciated by those with appointments at the nearby Mayo Clinic. While many praise its serene atmosphere and welcoming nature, some reviews express concerns about modern liturgical practices diverging from tradition.
"Stopped by this beautiful, peaceful church to pray during stressful clinic appointments. Such a perfect place to pray and remind myself who is in charge."
Lisa Gifford
"Thank you for giving me access to the mass and the body, blood, soul, and divinity of our Lord. Though I am sure there are many holy people there, this church appears to be dying. It seems to have imbibed fully in the failed experiment of 1968 liturgically and inevitably theologically. Take even a modern saint, say, St Therese the Little Flower; she would be hard pressed to recognize it as Catholic…forget about any prior saints. I would suggest reconnecting with the treasure of tradition, starting with the liturgy, and your local church may yet thrive. Godspeed."
Matt Commons
"Very peaceful place to reflect and stop in and say some prayers for your upcoming procedure at Mayo."
