Visitors find the Reston Museum to be a free and informative stop, particularly for learning about the town's unique history and planned community origins. While some note it's a small exhibit, the friendly volunteers and occasional engaging events like Lego displays are highlights. It's often recommended as a pleasant addition to a walk around Lake Anne.

"What a great day to play with Legos! Had the pleasure of attending the “Bricks by The Lake” at the Reston Museum. This event had several sponsors and it was well worth the donation to participate. The staff and host were friendly, courteous and helpful. Being a first timer I was greeted like family. By the time the event started it was just a few people participating, within minutes the event was standing room only. Brick makers from far and wide had their creations on display for online voting. Our family enjoyed the greatest gift of fellowship and being together doing something we love."

"Small exhibit, not really a museum. Display shows the history of Reston with posters. Needs models and 3D items to show Reston changes. Very limited. Great place to stop, when taking a walk around Lake Anne."

MJ B

"It’s a nice exhibit on the formation of Reston was very interesting, and the volunteer was friendly."
