What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise He Mni Can-Barn Bluff for its stunning panoramic views and well-maintained trails, offering a rewarding hiking experience. While the South Trail is accessible and beautiful, the North Trail presents a more challenging climb. Some reviewers noted a desire for clearer signage on the trails.
"The best place to park is near trail head, if you want to hike the mountain/hill. Google will take you to the perfect spot. The hike itself is relatively easy. You can take south or north loop or do both. It’s slight steep when one gets closer to peak. The view is awesome. The trail is maintained well. Bring water with you as you will need it while climbing stairs. It’s nice few hours hike. Worth it."

"I eyed this place the entire Labor Day weekend before deciding to go on Labor Day. I was hesitant due to the dangers of this place especially fearful of the North Trail. I do agree that the South trail was easy and so beautiful! It felt like the stairways to Heaven!! The map was easy to follow and I never felt like I got lost (there’s skill levels which I am thankful for). It isn’t kid friendly but if your children are good listeners I would recommend. I saw families with their kids there but please stay on the trail! There’s sacred grounds there. The north trail only had a rope to hold onto and I did not take that risk going solo. Overall, the experience kept me grounded and I went around 5:31pm-7:13pm and took me 1hr&31min including stopping and taking in the views. I saw a review that someone took about 2hrs&30min but that would most likely be including the North and Quarry trail. But honestly South & Prairie Trail is just a 15-20min short hike. I would recommend this place to avid hikers and would totally recommend to stay during sunset! The sun sets at the West outlook. I was amazed how it set beyond the other Bluffs. More people showed up towards sunset. I hope you have an incredible experience like I did! The last picture is from Memorial Park which showcases the entire bluffs. Memorial Park also is incredible!"
