"If you like history and places like Williamsburg and Ole Jamestowne, then you will love this place. It's great for families and Picnics. Kids playing in the creek like I did when I was a kid finding Salamanders and Crayfish, and playing Cowboys or Frisbee. I have a family connection and so does my wife. As a matter of fact, we're both related by marriage to the McCormick family and Before we were married. We didn't know until we were close to marriage and looking at old yearbooks and family photos. My wife is a Robinson and her relative was instrumental in helping with acquiring funding from the family to replace logs in the mill house and Mud between the logs.
I am a relative of Lunsfords who were related to the Mccormicks and held our Family reunions their for years. My GrandMother Sally Belle Lunsford of Rockbridge used to tell stories of her youth with ties to the Mccormicks.
I've always loved this place.
