What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nimbus Flat State Recreation Area is widely praised as a beautiful and versatile spot for water activities, hiking, and family outings. Visitors love the calm lake waters, rental options, and dog-friendly atmosphere. However, some are disappointed by litter and a lack of respect for the environment from a minority of visitors.
"Plenty of running trails here on both sides of the Folsom lake. They range from paved bike paths to single tracks. Runners share these trails with bikes, horses and other runners. Parking is excellent and there is a place to rent boats. The fish hatchery is here too, but due to federal cost saving, it is no longer open."

"This is such a neat place. If you like to paddle board, kayak, canoe or just lay on the shore this place is the spot. Has some really nice fingers and covers to go back into. Occasionally you'll even see some turtles... We like to meet up with friends to spend some time together on the water. If you don't have gear no problem there is a great little place to rent from ... A real gem that's for sure... Note from time to time the wind may pick up so keep that in mind if your traveling across the open water.. I give this place a 10"

"Nice clean park, minimal fowl and clear water. Family friendly and tons of things to do."
