"This has been converted into senior housing, but it is absolutely gorgeous inside."
Michelle B
"The Vail is a beautiful Pueblo landmark. It's no longer a Hotel it's housing for seniors and disabled people. They do allow a few events in there Ballroom thru out the year but the building is not open to the public. It's decor is early 1900 and has been restored where necessary and the craftsmen and craftswomen who have done the restoration where some of the best in their field. I know some of the stained glass windows in the Ballroom were done and it was a seamless restor because you can't tell which were done. Pueblo gets a bad rap most of the time but the people of Pueblo love this little city and take GREAT PRIDE in this great city. If your lucky enough to go thru the huge oak doors of the Vail, you can't help but feel that for a moment you've stepped back into history and a time gone by. Great people have stayed at the Vail as well as some not so great but who also will always be remembered for there deeds. I have been lucky to have gotten to know some of the residents who live there and the all feel very lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Even from across the street you can see the grandeur that the Vail offered it's guests and the comfort it provides its residence of today."

"The Vail Hotel was a very historic hotel for it's time and alot of the old architecture is still in place and looks beautiful! The Vail is no longer a hotel but is now owned by the Pueblo Housing Authority and is a senior and disabled living facility."
