Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Mill Creek Falls for its impressive cascade and the rewarding, albeit challenging, scramble to its base. While the main viewpoint offers a good experience, those who venture down to the river's edge are treated to a spectacular, up-close encounter with the waterfall's power and unique rock formations. The nearby Pearsoney Falls is also a popular, easily accessible addition to any visit.

"This is the second waterfall in proximity to Barr Creek Falls, this one being much more impressive. The viewpoint is closer, and it is possible through a steep and somewhat dicey downclimb to reach the river and the base of the falls. If you are able, it's well worth the effort to go down to the bottom, the "trail" down is very obvious from above. There are some very thin ropes/twine to help, but if the ground is dry, it's not too bad. I may not have attempted this in wet conditions, as a lot of it is a steep and smooth dirt slope, which would turn into an ice rink when wet. However, once down at the bottom, it's quite spectacular. Not only can you feel and hear the power of the waterfall, there are a lot of hidden "weepholes" in the porous rock where water comes out, creating smaller side cascades and falls. You can get right up to the splash pool if you wanted, but you will get absolutely drenched! Probably ok in the hotter summer months. The way the water falls and hits the rock about halfway down makes for awesome photos as well, combined with the flowing river and smaller falls from the rock, it's a wonderful scene. If you can make it, highly recommend getting up close to this one!"

Melinda Guinn

"Nice easy hike down that takes you a pretty waterfall. It’s a bit far off but you still get a good view. Other falls is right around the corner."
