What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Poughkeepsie Waterfront for its stunning river views, especially from the Walkway Over the Hudson and Victor C. Waryas Park. The seasonal markets are a highlight, offering local goods and a lively atmosphere. However, some reviewers note a limited selection of vendors at times and express concerns about event management practices.
"I was a fairly frequent customer in years past, often during the balmy summertime for homegrown bread, cheese, hard cider, & produce; this year, 2024, I didn't get here until cool October! But I stumbled upon an unexpectedly wonderful "Esopus High Banks" Cabernet Franc wine from Ulster County, light bodied, full of red fruit flavors, & just a hint of vanilla. Hopefully this market will be open every Tuesday for the rest of this month, so that I might get a chance to try their Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, &/or Red Blend. Wish us luck!"

"Limited selection. We went in early June so I should expect a smaller selection but expected more than four. There was a vendor selling apples and some fruits, a vendor selling nice looking greens and plants, a second greens vender, and one person selling organic meat. Everything we bought was good and the people were friendly"

"An amazing view from the restaurant with great drinks."
