"Leach Botanical Garden is one of my all-time favorite wedding venues in the Portland metro area. As a photographer, there are SO many beautiful nooks and crannies here, and since they've added the tree walk, the possibilities for gorgeous backdrops are even more incredible. I've documented a good number of weddings here, and it never gets old. And because the gardens are so diverse both in the flora that're present, and also in how the property changes throughout the seasons, I feel like I've never documented two weddings that looked exactly alike. Also, the space is such that you could have a larger sized wedding or a more intimate micro wedding, and both would feel comfortable and suited to the location. It's really quite a unique and marvelous location for a wedding celebration.
Also, the staff are so wonderful and helpful. I've always had wonderful experiences here both as a fellow vendor and as a visitor. Everyone is so kind and welcoming.
I always look forward to a visit to Leach. Will forever consider it one of the best places in the city to connect with nature and enjoy a peaceful, memorable time whether it's for an event or just a quiet walk through the gardens."

"I lived in Milwaukie for a decade and never knew about this place! Today was oddly cool and overcast for summer, so I decided to take advantage and make the trip out here from Vancouver.
This place is an absolute gem with a really cool backstory! The aerial tree walk gives you a great view of the original garden that started in the 1930s. I had a lot of fun exploring and even found Dina the dinosaur! It only took about 40 minutes for me to explore, but I was on a bit of a time crunch and it’s recommended that you go at a slow pace to really take in the scenery. if you go back-and-forth along the trails, you will constantly notice new plants you didn’t see before. It’s very tranquil here. The gift shop sells canned lattes, kombucha, local honey, and a few other goodies I wasn’t expecting.
The only downside was that somebody didn’t pick up after their dog and I almost stepped in it. Shame on whoever that was!"
