What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Saskadena Six is lauded as a charming, old-school ski area offering great value, especially for beginners and Indy Pass holders. While some find the food lines long and parking icy, the friendly staff, manageable terrain, and authentic retro vibe make it a beloved local gem.
"Saskadena Six (formerly Suicide Six) at 247 Stage Rd in South Pomfet, VT is a little hidden gem. The drive to it is full of gorgeous farms and views and then the ski area itself, tho very small, is welcoming, and the terrain is challenging! We skied here because it’s part of the Indypass family and it’s on the way to my sister’s home. I’m so glad we stopped! The hubs loved the long, top to bottom beginner trail, which has some curves and turns on the way down. I liked the steeper trails. The parking is easy, though watch out for that slippery ice! They didn’t seem to salt or sand the parking area, so it was pretty sketchy, as was the bridge to go up to the lodge. But just be careful and you’ll be fine. We loved the retro feel of the lodge, and are looking forward to going back for a day this winter, as we head north to other larger areas. We love supporting the smaller independent resorts! No matter your ability, check it out!"

"Awesome small mountain in VT. Decent to access, on the Indy pass. Great old school vibe, decent runs and a good challenge. Want no lines and no frills but a great experience? Go to S6."

"Great spot, on the Indy Pass. Family friendly with a great,, enclosed magic carpet. The base lodge was fine, tough lines on holiday weekends for food but seriously it's a ski spot so bring your own food (chili was mediocre).
The face run on the front is the cool attraction and the wall of history as this was the first place ever to have a tow rope is cool. We had girl scouts selling cookies outside which made our day!
It's a small mountain so check out the trail map and realize there is only 1 summit lift. It is a blast for a family and their ski school folks did wonder with my young kids."
