What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Channel Drive Waterfront offers a pleasant dining experience with a strong emphasis on its beautiful waterfront location and lively atmosphere, especially during events like the annual luau. While many praise the ambiance, service, and certain dishes like zeppole and oysters, some reviewers have noted inconsistencies in seafood preparation and food quality.
"I don't know how I never came here before. This place is absolutely amazing. I stopped in for a quick lunch over the Labor Day weekend. When I walked in I got a wonderful greeting by the hostess and she was nice enough to accommodate me for outdoor dining as I am a solo diner. I got such a lovely view of the water and it was so nice seeing the boats go by.
My server was Ariana and she was friendly and attentive. I wasn't too hungry so I opted for a lighter meal so I got the orange salmon and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. I also loved the zeppole starter where I ended up eating the whole basket. Menu options here are great and are priced accordingly.
The restaurant itself inside and out is beautiful, clean and very spacious. They also have plenty of onsite parking.
Overall, I was very pleased by my first experience and I will definitely come back here again in the future....😋"

"Great ambience, even inside, if you love being by the water!
Our server, Nick, was kind, patient and attentive.
Everyone enjoyed their meals with the highlights being the Apricot Chicken, crab-stuffed flounder, the lobster bisque & the volcano shrimp.
Side note: the Caesar salad came with a cute presentation but the leaves are left long and you have to cut up the salad yourself. (See pic) I didn’t mind it but my husband wasn’t a fan of having to do that. Wasn’t a big deal, just worth noting."

The Waterfront Experience
Social media content often showcases the idyllic waterfront setting, with videos featuring boats and the general charm of living or visiting along the water. This makes it a popular spot for those seeking a scenic escape. The outdoor bar and music further enhance the lively vibe, especially during special events.
For those looking to truly soak in the waterfront lifestyle, the opportunity to have your 'boat. Your dock. Your dream catch.' is part of the allure, even if just for a meal. The combination of good food, a pleasant environment, and the calming presence of the water makes Channel Drive Waterfront a memorable destination.
Culinary Delights and Disappointments
However, the dining experience isn't universally lauded. Some patrons have expressed disappointment with the food quality, citing issues such as overcooked or flavorless steaks, undercooked seafood, and lobster rolls with shells. One reviewer noted their lobster roll was 'so chewy it was getting stuck in their teeth.' Even seemingly simple items like the Caesar salad can be a point of contention; while presented nicely, the long leaves require diners to cut them up themselves, which not everyone enjoys.
Despite these mixed reviews on food execution, the menu is generally considered to have great options and is priced accordingly for a waterfront establishment. The key seems to be managing expectations and perhaps sticking to the most consistently praised dishes or exploring the non-fish alternatives.
Events and Atmosphere
Beyond organized events, the general ambiance is noted for being great, even indoors, for those who appreciate being near the water. The combination of good drinks, attentive service, and the scenic backdrop creates an inviting environment for both casual lunches and more special occasions like date nights. The venue is described as spacious and clean, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
