"Visited for Christmas Songs & Hot Cocoa Party with my daughter. Had booked tickets online before the registration closed and had the email confirmation. Upon reaching, our names were not in the list. When I showed them the email, they did not want to look at it but took us inside to a table and seated us in the far corner even though there were tables empty. People who arrived almost 30 mins later were made to sit in front of us sometimes even pulling up other tables and putting it in front of us. I felt we were being singled out. After that my daughter spilled her cocoa which didn't help either and we decided to leave. One gentleman was trying to be helpful and it looked like he was trying to compensate for the indifference shown by others.
I have attended many similar events in Pittsfield and have never had such an experience. I am unsure if the reason was whether they thought I did not have the tickets or if it was the color of my skin."
