Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Senator John Heinz History Center for its extensive and engaging exhibits, particularly highlighting the Mister Rogers and sports museums. While some find the gift shop items a bit pricey and the snack bar limited, the overall experience is described as immersive, informative, and a must-visit for anyone interested in Pittsburgh's rich history.

"This was our 2nd visit to the Heinz history museum and it did NOT disappoint! It's a wonderful little gem with so much history of Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas. We visited on a Sunday afternoon (over Labor day weekend) and there was plenty of paid parking right across the street and was less than a 2 minute wait to purchase tickets and enter. There is a cute little gift shop, but we did find a lot of it to be overpriced, we still purchased several items. There is also a "snack bar" with drinks and limited snacks, definitely not somewhere that you would plan to have lunch. I would definitely recommend a visit for an afternoon to learn about and enjoy all of the exhibits."

Megan K

"I thought it was a museum about ketchup. It was huge. So much history about the area. But there was a section about Ketchup. I hate ketchup. It’s for weirdos. Spent two hours here and I didn’t spent much time seeing everything. Def need two visits to see and experience entire place if you like history and read everything. It was huge and still had places being renovated. Really nice place."

Justin Delossantos

"What a wild musuem. Six floors. Tons of exhibits. Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania take top billing, but there is so much more. The Western Pennsylvania two-floor sports exhibit is wonderful. The Mr. Rogers collection brought back loads of childhood memories."
