"If you like reading and stopping at every display, you should plan to spend more than one full day here. As two nerds from out of state, my husband and I loved every moment here. The dinosaurs were like nothing we've seen before and the geology exhibit was super cool. I loved that there were placards near exhibits that are now considered out of date in some way (native American culture and the fossil fuel areas, for example). This is easily one of the best museums I've ever visited.
This museum was so captivating that we came back for a second day, only to find out it was closed all day due to a private event. I wish there had been signage or staff letting us know :( Hence the four star review."

"It was awesome my first visit to Natural museum of history. Lots of things to explore about extinct animals and lots of information about older generation. A fun place for kids too but there are no much activities for kids. If kids don't mind exploring history than it would be fun for them. Nearby you have cathedral of leaning which is awesome too for prospective of building and architecture. Parking is decently priced being in downtown area. I recommend it for family with kids to be there."

"We visited today because my husband wanted to show me where he spent time as a kid. He spent many hours roaming the halls and visiting the displays whilst a family member took classes. There have been many changes since then, and although it's an impressive place he felt that much of the room that used to be natural history has been overtaken by the museum of art and feels we've lost out because of it. I did enjoy the dinosaur exhibit and the minerals and gems. I had looked forward to seeing some of Egypt, but that was closed."
