Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the free admission and the informative museum with its short film on President Polk's life. The recreated homestead offers a glimpse into the past, and the adjacent Little Sugar Creek Greenway is a significant plus for outdoor enthusiasts. While some note that nothing is original to the farm, it's considered a worthwhile and educational stop, especially for those in the area.

"Small museum with movie about the life of James K Polk. While I appreciated the effort to commemorate his birthplace, nothing is original to the farm that he grew up on. Worth a quick visit if you happen to be in the area."

"Historic replica of President Polk's birthplace. Little Sugar Greenway has a very nice paved trail/walkway."

"Worth a visit if you are in the area. The museum is small but lots to read and there is also a small movie that plays. When we went a big group had just left and no one else was with us but they played the movie just for us. It's a nice short movie about president polk and his life. Then outside you have the houses recreated based on original ones. They were not open. The kitchen gardens was nice with a lot of herbs, and plants. There were a few picnic tables too. There is a cemetery with a few members from Polk family. We spent about an hour in this place and leant a lot. The restrooms are clean. Plenty of parking but we went during a weekday. No entrance fee to visit. There are tours on some days that have a fee"
