Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Liberty Bell Pool's beautiful, refreshing spring-fed waters and unique hand-carved stone design. Many appreciate the historical significance and the family-friendly atmosphere, including a separate kiddie pool and playground. Some note the natural stone bottom can be rough on feet and recommend water shoes, and advise arriving early to avoid afternoon crowds.
"Beautiful, refreshing, spring fed pool hand built with natural stone. We went on a Saturday- It was less busy when we were there in the morning than in the afternoon, my advice would be to come early or just know it will draw a little crowd later in the day. We enjoyed spending time here, but it was much more peaceful in the morning with less people. The afternoon felt loud and splashy in comparison, but still nice overall."

"A beautiful pool. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Excellent staff, clean facilities and an overall pleasant way to spend the day (check schedule).$5 to park, $7 pool fee, cash/card accepted, bring a chair and water shoes. It's kind of a long way from the parking lot to the pool but wheelchair, stroller accessible. The snack bar and small shop are upstairs...might want to grab what you need before making the trip down. Have fun, please don't run and be polite of others...keep your music to a personal space volume 🙏🏼🙏🏼"

"We took our grandson 9. He really liked it. We liked it as well but we liked it even more for the beauty of the place. Plus trying to find all the Stones carved in the shape of states was fun."

The History and Legacy of Liberty Bell Pool
The pool's design is a testament to the era's craftsmanship, with its stone bottom and edges carved into the natural terrain. Visitors often remark on the beauty of the setting and the historical significance of swimming in waters that were once a source of healing for a president. It’s a place where you can not only cool off but also connect with a fascinating chapter of American history.
While the town of Warm Springs itself might feel a bit like stepping back in time and could benefit from some updates, the Liberty Bell Pool remains a charming and worthwhile attraction. It offers a refreshing experience that combines natural beauty with historical resonance, making it a unique destination for travelers.
Navigating the Natural Stone Bottom
The natural stone also means that the pool floor isn't perfectly smooth like a modern, tiled pool. This can make it a bit trickier for those who are less steady on their feet, though the pool is generally shallow, offering a sense of security. The clarity of the spring water, however, allows you to see the stone formations beneath the surface, adding to the natural aesthetic.
Despite the potential discomfort of the stone bottom, the refreshing, cool water from the natural springs makes the experience worthwhile for most. It's a small trade-off for swimming in such a historically significant and naturally beautiful setting.
Family Fun at Liberty Bell Pool
Beyond the swimming itself, the facility offers a small playground with slides and swings, ensuring that kids have plenty of entertainment options. There are also covered picnic areas and tables, perfect for enjoying a family meal or snack. Bringing your own chairs is a good idea to ensure comfortable seating for everyone.
While the natural stone bottom requires some caution, the overall experience is very positive for families. The combination of the cool spring water, the historical setting, and the on-site amenities makes Liberty Bell Pool a memorable spot for a family vacation or a day trip.
