What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally have a great time at Castles N' Coasters, praising the value of the arcade deals and the variety of attractions like mini-golf and go-karts. However, some disappointment arises when major rides are closed, and the summer heat can be a significant factor for outdoor activities. Staff attentiveness and ride availability are areas that could be improved for a consistently stellar experience.
"We had such a GREAT time that we came back the next day! Our group consisted of 4 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 kiddo. Awesome deal for arcade games, $10 for 2 hours! So many games to play from racing, pinball, redemption games (you just don't get tickets from the deal), and classics like Pac-Man. Mini Golf was fun, but so HOT outside. I wish more misters were placed throughout the courses. The rides were enjoyed by the family after 5pm with the wristband deal. So many snack bar options throughout the inside and outside of the amusement center. Decently priced. Overall, we all had an awesome time."

"Hard never been here before (well once as a child when we lived in S.D.) but it was actually a lot of fun. Most of the games were in working order. It was crowded, but not close to uncomfortable. My son is on the spectrum so this was a very huge deal for us. We went in the evening to try and beat the heat (didn't work was 105 at 8pm). The mini golf course was fun for my family. I believe I saw 4 different courses to play. Didn't do any of the big rides as we wanted more of a chill night. But, the prices are more than fair in my opinion and the food was actually rather good. I say food, we had church's shakes and icees. Definitely would recommend."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Tip: Pack snacks and drinks in a cooler to keep in your car to manage food costs. Consider visiting in the evening to avoid the peak heat and potentially larger crowds, making the experience more comfortable for everyone. While some major rides might be closed, the combination of arcade, mini-golf, and other attractions like bumper boats offers plenty of entertainment for a family outing.
💰 Budget Travelers
To cut down on food expenses, bring your own water and snacks, keeping them in a cooler in your car. This avoids the higher prices for drinks and snacks inside the park. Consider visiting on weekdays when crowds are typically lower, which can sometimes correlate with better deals or a more relaxed atmosphere. While some attractions might be closed, focusing on the value-packed arcade and affordable mini-golf can still provide a fun and cost-effective experience.
🎢 Thrill Seekers
For an adrenaline rush, the go-karts also offer a competitive and fast-paced experience. While the focus might be on family fun, the presence of these rides ensures that thrill-seekers can find something to enjoy. Visiting during the evening can add to the atmosphere, with lights and cooler temperatures enhancing the ride experience.

Navigating the Attractions
For thrill-seekers, the amusement park area features several roller coasters, including the 'Desert Storm'. However, it's important to manage expectations, as some visitors have reported that not all rides are consistently operational. The park also offers toddler rides, making it a destination that aims to cater to a wide age range.
Pro-tip: Consider purchasing ride wristbands, especially for evening visits, as they can offer good value for unlimited rides during a set period. Always check the park's official calendar for operating hours and potential ride closures before your visit to ensure the best possible experience.
Understanding Ride Safety & Regulations
While this may raise concerns for some, it's also worth noting that Castles N' Coasters does have rides that are generally enjoyed by visitors. However, the mention of a ride 'supposedly fails' on Reddit, while framed humorously by one user as adding to the 'adrenaline rush,' underscores the importance of personal vigilance and awareness. Visitors who have concerns about ride safety should feel empowered to ask staff for information or choose attractions they feel most comfortable with.
Ultimately, while the state lacks a dedicated oversight body, individual parks are still required to conduct annual inspections and maintain insurance. Visitors can also look for general signs of maintenance and operational readiness when choosing which rides to experience.
Maximizing Your Budget at Castles N' Coasters
When it comes to food and drinks, reviewers suggest a cost-saving strategy: bring a cooler to keep in your car. Water bottles can be expensive inside the park, so refilling from your own supply is a smart move. While some find the park's food 'decently priced,' others suggest it's 'nothing special' and recommend exploring nearby dining options if you plan to leave and re-enter.
Consider visiting on weekday evenings to potentially avoid higher weekend crowds and possibly find more relaxed pricing or promotions. By focusing on the value-packed arcade deals, strategic ride access, and smart food choices, you can have a fun-filled day without overspending.
