Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Laurel Hill Cemetery for its beauty, historical significance, and peaceful atmosphere. Many highlight the impressive Victorian architecture and the opportunity to explore the grounds at their own pace. Some note that parking can be a challenge, and a single visit might not be enough to see everything.

"This cemetery is one of the neatest things to see in Philadelphia. The grounds are well taken care of and there’s a lot to explore. A lot of history here. Important history. Highly recommend just walking around or scheduling ahead and booking a tour. Keep an eye out for their movie series. We saw Midsommar last year and it was absolutely awesome."

Alexander White

"Laurel Hill (East) is one the most beautiful and famous cemeteries in not just Philadelphia but the entire United States. An amazing place to visit, whether just to walk the grounds, get your doggy out for some exercise, learn a little bit about local history on self-guided tour, or attend one of their many events throughout the year. From famous athletes, to politicians, to military heroes, to many of the richest people and families in the city's history, Laurel Hill delights and informs even as it provides a final resting place for so many Philadelphians. As far as burial grounds go you cannot find many more idyllic or tranquil spots. Parking can be a bit tough but there's usually plenty of parking on nearby streets. Definitely do not recommend parking on Ridge Avenue just because of the amount of and speed of traffic, but otherwise, very easy place to check out if you find yourself in the area."

John Luczkowski

"We live a few blocks from Laurel Hill Cemetery which is a treat to get to explore on a daily basis. Between the history, sights, peacefulness, calmness the cemetery overlooking Kelley Drive and the trails bring it is truly magnificent. The walks, runs and views are highly recommended. Thank you for the treasures!"
