What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mormon Rocks is a highly recommended, accessible stop for a short hike and stunning views. Visitors appreciate its convenience as a road trip break and the unique geological formations. While some note the 'interpretive' trail lacks detailed information, the opportunity to climb the main rock for panoramic vistas is a major draw. Be prepared with good shoes and aware of potential wildlife.
"Its a good short hike, but its not interpretive. There are posts that might have held information plaques. Its a nice good short hike though. Plenty of parking. There should be an explanation as to why they are called Mormon Rocks."

"Beautiful little trail to break up a long drive through San Bernardino. How long you spend here is really up to how far you want to go.
I just decided to hike up the main rock (seen in the pictures) and head back, taking photos along the way, and it took me about 45 minutes. I’m not sure how much more there would have been further along the trail, but I did not have the proper shoes and likely would have slipped on the rocks if I had kept going.
Be warned: there is an active wasp hive tucked high up in the largest rock which you have to hike below to ascend. However as long as you remain calm and do not attack the few who venture down to the trail, they will be docile as well.
Overall, I definitely recommend this hike as a spontaneous and rewarding pit stop accessible for most ages!"
