What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Peoria Pines Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with many golfers expressing disappointment in course conditions like sandy tee boxes and bunkers, questioning the value for the greens fees. However, the driving range is frequently praised for its quality, and some visitors enjoy the restaurant and bar atmosphere. Pace of play and inconsistent food service are recurring concerns for some patrons.
"Very disappointed in the course conditions. Seems like it is continuing to go down hill & nothing like the country meadows days. For cost of greens fees here I would expect better conditions. Every green has noticeable pin placement holes showing but even worse on 11-15 causing extremely poor putting conditions. Tee boxes that look like deserts because there is much more sand than grass & bunkers that are concrete. Save your $ and golf somewhere else, they are obviously not using it to take care of the course."
Phil Savage
"I came to Peoria Pines 11•12•25 at 10:45 am to practice at the driving range. The Pro Shop Associate was quite nice and professional. The quality of the turf and the condition of the range balls was far superior to any other facility that I have been to lately. I had a terrific time and will return to both play a round and eat at the restaurant. I really enjoyed the vibe."
Joel Brooks
"Great course and everyone was really nice. Showed up 10 minutes early. I was paying for everyone and buying balls and gear. The one grumpy guy in the corner, who apparently exists to criticize says: “cutting it a bit close, aren’t we!?!” No, we’re ten minutes early. Get a life bro."

Understanding Course Conditions
Despite these concerns, some visitors have had positive experiences, particularly with the driving range. The fairways are generally reported to be in better shape than other parts of the course.
For those who remember the course in its past, specific holes like #13 and #14 hold nostalgic value, especially the memory of a large pond that once existed between the tee box and green on #14.
Pace of Play and Customer Service
Customer service has also received mixed reviews. While some staff members, like the Pro Shop Associate, have been described as nice and professional, other interactions have been less positive, with one reviewer mentioning a 'grumpy guy' making critical remarks. The inconsistency in service, coupled with issues like food availability, can detract from the experience.
Given these factors, planning your visit strategically, perhaps during less busy times like weekday mornings, might help mitigate potential frustrations with pace and service.
