Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the extraordinary beauty and peaceful, serene feel of Rim Lakes Vista Overlook, with its magnificent, miles-long vistas and refreshing breezes. The paved walking path along the rim is a highlight for many, offering constant amazing views. However, some note that restrooms are limited and primitive, and litter can detract from the natural beauty.
"This is on a plateau (Mogollon Rim) with a view that goes for miles. There is a wonderful walking trail along the Rim as well with many picture opportunities. It also has ATV trails and campsites. Most of it closes on Nov 1st but you can still drive thru the National Park. There is two lakes you can drive to, Woods Canyon Lake is easy to get to from 260, Bear Canyon Lake is about 15 more miles thru the park, half or more is gravel (coming from the Payson side). I've been told the west side path starts near Winslow but is gravel until past Bear Canyon Lake. There was a marina at Canyon Lake, although closed after November 1st."

"The beauty of this place is extraordinary. One that should be treasured always. It has a peaceful and serene feel about it.
Carry a small bag with you as you walk about, the beauty is very real but the trash that gets left behind is too and unnecessary. It is our responsibility to be caretakers."
