What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Paso Robles Children's Museum to be a charming spot, especially for its historic fire station theme and engaging pretend-play areas. While many children enjoy the interactive exhibits and outdoor space, some reviews express disappointment regarding the cleanliness of toys and facilities, suggesting potential areas for improvement.
"We have taken the kids to various kids museums and this is one that we were not impressed with. It seemed out dated and a bit dirty. They have a section where you can place plastic balls and it will suction to a different part; however, the suction wasn’t that powerful.
They have a paint wall section but the painting was dried and I only saw one apron to use.
They have a kitchen and theater section but the kitchen was very messy with food parts every where spread out and costumes were missing pieces.
I appreciated they have a gate for walking downstairs.
Price is decent to entertain your kids but compared to other kids museums.. definitely not impressed."

"Came here with no expectations since we wanted to find some activities for our toddler. It is $8 for adults and $7 for children all day but we only spent an hour there. They opened early but close at 3pm and aren't opened Tue-thu. there's two floors and an outdoor space. My daughter enjoyed the ball activity and grocery/market parts on the second floor of the space the most. Lot of little activities to keep your little busy and even a room for private parties. I appreciate hand sanitizer everywhere and even bins for toys that have been slobbered on so they can clean. There's also short sinks for lil ones to wash their hands which was nice. The only thing that bothered me was the cleanliness of the space. Many toys, especially the balls were dirty and doesn't look like the toys get cleaned very much :( I think it's super important to deep clean daily since kids get sick so easily from one another. The outdoor space is super filthy with spiderwebs all over the little play house outdoors. I would rate higher if it was cleaner."

"Very disappointed in my visit. I've been bringing my daughter here for a couple of years and I don't think I've ever seen it this dirty. The first floor bathroom smelled so badly of dirty diapers you couldn't breathe. Almost all of the trash cans were full. The tables haven't been wiped down and the floors were filthy. We arrived 10-15 minutes after they opened so its not like there have been children here all day. You'd think a place for children would maintain a level of cleanliness to keep them safe and prevent the spread of germs."
