What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests appreciate the Blennerhassett Hotel's historic charm, beautiful decor, and convenient downtown location. However, some find the restaurant pricey and have experienced issues with road noise and shower temperature. The hotel's reputation for hauntings adds a unique appeal for many visitors.
"We stayed at the Blennerhassett Hotel on our way back from Chicago to Virginia.
The hotel is downtown Parkersburg with other historical buildings surrounding it. It's a nice area in which to walk. The parking lot for the hotel is behind the hotel.
We love staying in historical hotels and the Blennerhassett Hotel is a very nice historic hotel. It has been furnished with older pieces of furniture and the lobby and bar area were very nicely furnished and inviting. The lobby was decorated with Christmas trees decorated by local businesses when we visited, which were beautiful!
The young lady at the front desk was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient.
Our room had two queen beds, as well as a desk and a small dresser with a TV. The bathroom was a good size with a combined tub/shower. The water took a long time to heat up when we took our showers and it was difficult to adjust the temperature.
The hotel is at the corner of two main streets in Parkersburg, and we could hear quite a bit of road noise, which made it difficult to sleep.
All in all, we were glad that we stayed at the Blennerhassett, but I am not sure that we would stay again due to the road noise and the shower issues."

"The hotel was super cute and historic. They have plenty of add ons that are pretty reasonable too! Less than $20 for a bottle of chilled champagne for your room, I was so impressed with everything. The robes are so soft, the bed was really comfortable too! I saw some reviews that mentioned the showers not getting hot enough, but in ours they had a secondary dial you press and turn to make it hotter and a little plaque that says that if you wanted it hotter to press and turn the dial to get it up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. I loved that they have a micro mart inside the hotel too that’s 25/7 and set up like a self checkout. The amenities are so nice too! You can get many things delivered to your room and they aren’t up charging them and everything is very reasonable. The hotel staff have all been wonderful too. Overall it’s such a cool place to stay. It has a lot of historic charm with the modern amenities we are all used too. We are already talking about another trip in the spring."

Since I am a professional musician i asked to play the piano for them and they were very happy and kind. I may be moving here soon and will be a regular here for sure!
EDIT Well, I moved here and visited today for the second time and Carlyy was an amazing server and I will definitly be back! Such a beautiful place!"
