Visitors rave about Baylands Nature Preserve for its spectacular birdwatching opportunities and serene, expansive landscapes. The well-maintained, flat trails are perfect for walking and biking, and the connectivity to other Bay Area trails is a major plus. While some visitors noted a lack of shade and one unsettling personal safety experience, the overall sentiment highlights its value as a peaceful natural escape.

"Spectacular bird watching spot in the Bay Area. Also saw a pretty speedy hare.

The volunteers and organizers from the Preserve are passionate and open to answering all my questions.

Joined this adventure after a seasoned bird watcher friend suggested and found this educational. Got to see a ton of birds, their habitat and hear their songs.
Also learned about Fernando, the flamingo.

Got a chance to view feathers under a powerful microscope to inspect the pigments.

Calm and peaceful. Also has a few picnic tables and a huge parking lot."

"I utilize the Stevens Creek bike trail that connects you to the Baylands Bike trail that runs through the Baylands Nature Preserve. Awesome views as you cruise or walk along. All types of wildlife. There are ample places to stop along the way for a break or to just enjoy the view and the breeze that comes off the water most days. I visit daily and would recommend anyone in the area who enjoys outdoor walks or activities to visit."

Brandon Hudson

"We didn't see much wildlife the afternoon we were there, but.... what an expansive, serene spot in the middle of the Bay Area! SO many trails and benches all around as well. Lots of signage for trails and the wildlife as well. Nice job🌟"
