"I have to be honest I went with moderate expectations. I took my two granddaughters for an experience and to make memories as I’m a multiple myeloma patient and you never know when things are going to take a turn. We paid in advance and booked our rides. We arrive 30 minutes early.. my Papa met us there so that he could take a few photographs and the minute he got out of the car this little old, sweet man he was bitten by a dog and then informed that it was no big deal. He would be fine by the older gentleman out there taking care of the horses.. when I informed him that I didn’t want the girls to get out of the car when the dog was still loose and my father had just been bitten my dad’s arm bleeding. No one offered to take care of him. No one from the barn. And when I said, I’m sending my father somewhere to get his arm, cleaned out and checked and see if he needs a shot. No one offered any records on the dog.. I left a message to be contacted by someone in charge. I’ve never heard from anyone. To top it off the man who had the dog is also the gentleman that was supposed to be taking us on our ride and now he’s in a mood because I’ve complained about his dog, biting my father and just so you know my Papa is one of the kindest men you will ever meet in your life and he’s a little tiny guy, short and small. He’s also known by everyone in the community and well loved and if I said his name, if you live anywhere near Flagler county you probably know who he is for now I’m leaving his name out.. so I didn’t wanna cancel my girls having a ride, especially since we drove from North Jacksonville my Papa lives close to where the horses are. Once were put on the horses. He gave the girls a little to no instruction, but because I’m an experienced rider, I gave them the instructions that they needed.. He was not at all extra friendly. He put us in a direct line horse to tail. It was impossible to speak to one another. He didn’t speak at all, except for the constantly tell us keep the nose to the horses butt so that it keeps them moving. He said that over and over, even though we were tailed to butt, except for when the horses would pause to shoot a bug or take a poop.. The girls were completely disappointed. We couldn’t speak to one another because we were tail to butt instead of being able to kind of get beside each other a little bit. If you did speak to one another, you couldn’t hear each other because the trail a lot of the ride is along the highway so you can hear the cars.. and I know there are some good reviews on here. That’s why we came, but I question the reviews and also I realize that some people came straight from the city and I’ve never been on a horse and so they didn’t know what to expect.. I know I didn’t expect for my papa to get bitten by a dog. Or that no one would contact us to apologize or to see if he was OK. As soon as we got back and the girls were rushed off the horses we could barely get any photographs. It was a terrible experience after $238. And a long drive from Jacksonville in a long drive home I would not recommend this to anyone at this time. I’m still seeking advice on what we need to do about my Papa’s arm because it’s now worse and still no one has contacted either one of us."
