What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guesthouse is praised for its chic, plant-filled ambiance and expertly crafted cocktails, with passionate bartenders creating a welcoming vibe. However, some visitors find the acoustics challenging, leading to a loud environment, and the lighting is consistently described as very dark. While it's a popular spot, especially on weekends, potential patrons sensitive to noise or preferring brighter settings should be aware.
"has a really cool vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed, the bartenders are friendly, and it’s a great spot to hang out and talk.
Just a heads-up: if you go on a busy night like Friday or Saturday, you might wait more than 15 minutes to place your order. That’s pretty much the weekend vibe here… Lots of people, lots of movement, and a packed bar.
Still, it’s a genuinely nice place. I personally prefer going on weekdays because everything flows faster, but it’s totally understandable why weekends get so crowded. It’s a well-loved spot with good energy.
Definitely worth checking out."

"To wrap up my “Negroni Week” (which, let’s be honest, turned into more of a Negroni month 😅), we headed to The Guesthouse. The vibe was effortlessly cool, and the staff made us feel right at home, welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their craft.
I went straight for the Strawberry Sbagliato: Chambéryzette, Campari, a pinch of salt, and sparkling wine. It was refreshing, bubbly, and delicious. Not exactly a Negroni, but the Campari still shone through, giving it that bittersweet edge I crave. Definitely a perfect celebratory sip.
Somewhere in the visit, we ordered another drink, but let’s just say Negroni Week had caught up with me, and the details got a little fuzzy. 😅 What I do remember is chatting with one of the bartenders about Enrico Toro Centerba 72, a unique Italian liqueur they use in cocktails. That kind of insider conversation is what makes places like this so memorable."

"Every time I’ve gone to Guesthouse, I’ve had a terrible experience. The acoustics are horrendous—it’s just a big, echo chamber box where every sound bounces and gets painfully louder as more people arrive. For anyone even remotely sensitive to noise, it’s an instant sensory overload.
The lighting is just as bad: super dark inside, with harsh, awkward shadows that make it hard to see people’s faces, especially in the early evening when daylight outside only makes the contrast worse. It somehow manages to be both gloomy and unflattering at the same time.
Honestly, I’d rather go to the shabbiest dive bar in Orlando than come back here. The drinks are fine, but nothing about the atmosphere makes up for how physically uncomfortable it is to be here. I’m actually sitting outside right now, just trying to pull myself together before I leave.
They really need to fix the lighting and the acoustics. Until then, I can’t recommend this place to anyone."

The Guesthouse Vibe: Atmosphere & Acoustics
However, a significant point of feedback concerns the acoustics. Several reviews highlight that the space can become a loud echo chamber, making conversations difficult for those sensitive to noise. The lighting is also noted as being very dark, which, while contributing to a certain mood, can be unflattering and make it hard to see. If you prioritize a quiet environment or bright spaces, this might be a factor to consider when planning your visit.
Despite these potential drawbacks, many still find the energetic weekend vibe appealing, and the ability to bring in food from neighboring establishments adds to the convenience. It's a place that clearly draws a crowd for its drinks and social scene, but understanding the environmental aspects can help manage expectations.
Craft Cocktails and Culinary Companions
While Guesthouse excels in beverages, it's important to note that they do not have a kitchen. This might come as a surprise to some, but the establishment has a practical solution: guests are welcome to bring in food from neighboring restaurants. This policy is particularly highlighted with the option to enjoy tacos from the establishment next door, creating a fun 'some drinks and tacos never go wrong' scenario.
This approach allows Guesthouse to focus on its core strength – the drinks – while still offering patrons a way to enjoy a full dining experience. It fosters a sense of community with local businesses and provides a flexible option for visitors looking for both great cocktails and a bite to eat.
