What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Ward Bayou WMA for its excellent wildlife viewing and beautiful natural scenery, particularly the bayou's tranquil atmosphere. The knowledgeable and friendly staff also receive positive mentions. However, some visitors have noted that wildlife sightings can be inconsistent, and the trails may be challenging after rain.
"Went for some birding as suggested by Birders Digest. 5 to 7 pm walked a short loop trail near visitor center, walked along roads and spent 30 minutes at the flooded crossing. Mid 70's, no wind, April 22. Never raised our binoculars once. Heard some but NOTHING visible. Not sure how it was ranked top 10 spot in Mississippi by Birders Digest. Maybe our day just was bad for birds. Blackberries were tasty!"
