The Ocean City Skate Park is praised for its well-built features and welcoming atmosphere, particularly for beginners and children, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. However, some visitors find the mandatory pad and helmet rule for all ages to be excessive, and a few have reported feeling unwelcome or encountering issues with younger skaters' awareness.
"Wish I knew sooner that they started letting inline/quad skaters in last year. It's a great park with a great staff. The pads are not a big deal. Everyone making petty complaints need to get over themselves."

"This amazing skate park is clean, peaceful, and totally welcoming for my 8 year old daughter who is learning how to skate. The staff and skaters are so friendly. Mike, one of the staff, has been so wonderful, helping my daughter with skills and tips, he boosts her confidence every time we see him. Kindness is key, and the folks at this skatepark are the best at it!"

"place is ridiculous. First off, pads and helmet required is stupid, maybe for little kids it would be understandable but for anyone over the age of 13 is absurd. Secondly, the amount of small children. i can understand why they would be here but they dont pay attention to their surroundings. by the end of the night there was like 6 kids running around and skating, snaking everyone. Im here on vacation and thought it would be a cool spot to skate but ended up getting dirty looks, like im not supposed to be here. Such a shame, park is well built.🤦♂️"
