"Wonderful experience. The administrative and welcome team were incredibly accommodating and helpful. The company has recently moved so you want to make sure it says “Ink” interactive and not be like me and go to the one in Gainesville!
There is so much for the kids to do and my three enjoyed the experience so much.
Look forward to future exhibits!"

"It’s a fun place for kids to play. I was very worried about the little refrigerator in the 50’s kitchen, it doesn’t seem to be attached to the wall, and kids were stepping up on that bottom step of the counter to open the freezer part, since it’s so high up. Just very worried a child could pull it over onto them selves. Seems like a safety issue. Other than that, a fun place for kids to play. Lots of room to run around.
Also, didn’t seem great if your child has issues with loud places. It’s pretty noisy."

While the toddler area has specific rules, parents can find ways to navigate them to ensure their little ones have a safe and enjoyable time.
🧒 Children with Sensory Sensitivities

Navigating the New Location
Despite the positive aspects of the new location, it's important to be aware of potential challenges. The increased noise level can be a concern for children with sensory sensitivities, and one reviewer specifically mentioned the main bathroom lacking a door. The staff's approach to the toddler area has also drawn criticism, with some parents feeling the rules were overly restrictive. It's advisable to approach these areas with an understanding of the stated rules and to communicate any concerns politely with the staff.
Overall, the new INK location aims to provide an engaging and educational experience. Visitors are encouraged to check for updates on new exhibits and any adjustments to the facility as they continue to develop the space. The goal is to create a fun and memorable outing for families, offering 'inexpensive fun lots of memories.'
Safety and Sensory Considerations
The interactive nature of INK means it can become quite noisy, especially during peak hours. This can be a significant factor for children who are sensitive to loud environments. Some parents have found it overwhelming for their autistic children. If your child has sensory sensitivities, consider visiting during quieter weekday mornings or bringing noise-canceling headphones.
Furthermore, specific areas like the toddler zone have rules regarding footwear. While intended for hygiene and safety, these rules might require adjustment for children with sensory processing differences. Open communication with staff about your child's needs can sometimes lead to understanding, though experiences have varied.
The Community's Perspective on INK
However, the recent move has brought mixed reactions. While some appreciate the larger space and new activities, others feel the new location hasn't quite recaptured the magic of the old one, citing 'empty space' and a less cohesive feel. Concerns about noise levels and specific staff interactions have also been raised, suggesting areas for potential improvement in customer experience and facility management.
Despite these critiques, the overall sentiment leans positive, with many recommending INK as a worthwhile destination for families seeking 'inexpensive fun' and a place to create lasting memories. The dedication of the staff, like Cheryl mentioned in one review, is often highlighted as a key factor in a positive visit.
