What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Redwood Regional Park Oakland California for its stunning redwood groves, peaceful atmosphere, and accessible trails, making it a perfect escape from the city. While some note the redwoods aren't the absolute largest, their beauty and the park's serene environment are consistently praised. Parking can be a consideration on busy weekends.
"We arrived on a Saturday around 10 AM, and there were already many people in the park. Since the park is quite large, it didn’t feel crowded. We chose the Stream Trail, which is a loop trail. It took us about two hours to complete the loop. Most of the trail is shaded, making it very comfortable on a summer day. There is approximately a 30-minute hike uphill, so I recommend carrying a hiking stick for those who may have balance issues. The trail itself is beautiful and well-maintained, with lots of redwood trees, and most hikers were very friendly and courteous. There are plenty of clean restrooms at the trailhead, and I highly suggest using the restroom before starting the hike. Additionally, there are several large parking lots, and we had no trouble finding a parking space."
