"While visiting the Notre Dame Campus I made a stop at Cedar Grove Cemetery. This is a well maintained and historic cemetery that was established in 1853. Today the cemetery consists of about 22 acres. Ground Burial space is very limited. During my visit it appears that a new mausoleum is being constructed, and existing mausoleums are being expanded. Since 1977 the cemetery has been administered by the University of Notre Dame.
