Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the SONO Switch Tower Museum for its unique, hands-on tours led by incredibly passionate and knowledgeable volunteers. The opportunity to interact with historic railroad machinery is a major highlight, offering a tangible connection to the past. While the donation-based admission is appreciated, some visitors have unfortunately encountered unwelcoming comments from staff, which detracts from the otherwise positive historical experience.

"Great tour by informed guides w some hands on learning!!
Unfortunately as we finished one young man who apparently worked there insulted the city I live in, Bridgeport by saying he was sorry I was from there. Further he made an unwelcome political comment about law enforcement. Tone deaf for a museum that needs more railroad lovers to visit and learn about some wonderful history."
