Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Heritage Shores Nature Preserve for its beautiful marsh views and abundant wildlife, especially the small crabs. It's noted as a peaceful escape, though some find the trails short and parking limited during peak season. Checking tide charts is recommended to avoid flooded paths.

"Beautiful! Go in the morning or evening when the sun isn’t bright, because a lot of it isn’t shady. Look for the many little crabs in the sand by the water. They are hilarious!"

Theresa Hemingway

"Incredible place! I went on a weekday afternoon and it was tranquil. So many crabs too. It was high tide, part of the trail was mildly flooded, I had a crab chase me out. All good, and will be back a couple more times before leaving the area"

erick lindberg

"Beautiful marsh and a great place to walk your dog. Bring your own poop bags. Parking is available about a block away. You have to pay for the parking March 1st through October 31st. You use a phone app to pay and the last time I was there the cost was $4 per hour. You might want to check the tide chart and come when the tide is less than 6 ft or some trails will be flooded. You can get some good pictures when it's foggy, too."
